21 – 25 July KILLARNEY – Georgian Bay

[alert message=”this trip is now full”] We will launch from Chikanishing river at the western entrance to Collins inlet (Killarney). The first day paddle will be approx. 20 km to Hen Island in the cluster of islands south east of Philip Edward Island in Georgian Bay. Hopefully, we can camp on Hen Island which has a beautiful beach and is sheltered for the kayaks. This trip involves long stretches of open water so paddlers should be comfortable with 1 m waves and strong winds.

The following days will allow groups/individuals to determine the time spent kayaking and the time spent relaxing in a wonderful location with like-minded individuals. The chickens and the surrounding area provide a great area to explore and enjoy the small rock islands. Everyone should be prepared that if the Hen is occupied then other camping spots would become the option and the nature/requirements of the trip could change.

Additional information will go out to members that make up the trip.
