Trip Description:
Meet at 10am in Port Credit Marina Park for a 10:30am launch. Head out southwest and enjoy the
scenery for about half-an-hour, then change direction to northeast and land at Lakefront Promenade
Park for lunch (bring-your-own, though there is a chance Promenade Patio will be open). After lunch
continue on, pass by Mary Curtis Park and Colonel Smith Park, finally landing at Humber Bay West
Park, for a total distance of 18km.
After landing, lock your kayak to a tree (though we will try to arrange one person to stay with the
kayaks), hike 2km west to Mimico Station and take GO train to Port Credit to pick up your car. Port
Credit Marina Park is 900m south from the GO train station. Drive back to the landing spot and pick up
your kayak.
Alternatively, some sort of car shuttles may be arranged by the participants (to be discussed later).
Notes:
Extra items to bring: Shoes for walking, PRESTO card, kayak lock.
