We will have three Saturday sessions: April 11, 8:00-10:00 pm in Centennial Pool in Burlington (on New Street between Appleby and Burloak), and on April 18, 7:30-9:30 pm and April 25, 5:30 – 7:30 pm, in Angela Coughlan pool (Upper Middle and Guelph line). The cost is $75 for all three sessions. You are expected to bring your (clean!) boat.
Whatever level you are at, this is your opportunity to practice rescue techniques and try the finer paddling tricks in a safe environment. You can work on your own, or in small groups to improve your stroke, edging, bracing, wet exits and re-entries, or Eskimo rolls. Some instruction may be provided by certified instructors and GLSKA members.
There are only 12 spots available, so please sign up early by contacting Šárka Lhoták at (905) 634-1068, or e-mail lhotaks@mcmaster.ca, with the following information: name, e-mail address, home phone number, your kayaking experience and what you expect to learn, and your GLSKA membership status. For insurance purposes you must be a 2015 GLSKA member in good standing in order to participate.
