Meet at Pete’s Place Access Point at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4 to load kayaks and shuttle cars to an off-site parking lot. We will paddle among the sheltered islands off the west side of Moon Island, stop for lunch and then proceed to our campsite on Sharpe Island. On Sunday, if conditions are favourable, we will paddle to Wreck Island and walk the Island’s Interpretive Trail; else we will paddle among sheltered islands. Parking and camping fees apply. Georgian Bay water is cold in early June, paddling in a wetsuit and wearing a PFD at all times is advised. Consider joining us on this trip if you are comfortable paddling in one foot waves, are capable of self and assisted rescues, and enjoy a wilderness camping experience.
