Rendezvous 2014 – Oak Point, Parry Island – June 20–22

Rendezvous is the premier annual event of the year. Members, guests, and friends gather for three days of car camping, workshops, skills development and day paddles. Of course socializing, the famous pot luck dinner and entertainment will also be highlights of the event. Renewing friendships, making new ones, and exchanging tails of favourite trips are all part of the event.

16 – 19 May 2014 – Franklin Island / Minks – Georgian Bay

***FULL*** We will meet up at Snug Harbor on the morning of Friday May the 16th and paddle over to a campsite. Over the course of the weekend and weather permitting we’ll have the option of paddling around Franklin Island, over to Snake Island or exploring the Islands off of Red rock lighthouse. If you are unable to arrive until Saturday morning let me know and we will try to start Saturday morning by paddling over to Snug Harbour.

North Channel – Benjamin Islands

Our group of eleven paddlers, led by Victoria Best, departed the Massey Motel at 10 a.m. on Monday morning, crossed the Spanish River, and entered the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation community. We were welcomed by Andy Southwind, who has lived at McBean Harbour, and managed it for many years. This experienced group of paddlers loaded kayaks, parked cars, and set off.
