Pukaskwa NP & Neys PP, Lake Superior – July 9 – 17

Trip description: Boarding our shuttle at 7 am on July 9th in Wawa, we will travel by road to Pukaskwa National Park, where we’ll launch near noon. We will paddle south-east along this 170 km coast of Lake Superior exploring the many coves, sand beaches, towering cliffs, wildlife, waterfalls, ghost towns, artifacts and pristine campsites that dot this coastline until we arrive back at the outfitter in Wawa. Expect to paddle daily linear distances up to 22 km, although flexibility should be expected due to weather constraints.  Participants should be experienced in exposed surf paddling, landing and launching but we will maintain a flexible daily schedule to maximize enjoyment while finishing on time. Remote and undeveloped wilderness backcountry campsites will be used. Plan and pack to be self sufficient with good company along for laughs and adventures! Shuttle fee and park fees to be split amongst participants. Please confirm participation by mid May.
