June 22 – 24

Where we meet to paddle, learn new skills, swap memories and plan the paddles to come.

Rendezvous 2018 is our 25th annual meet-up (we think). What we are sure of is that great paddling and socializing are pretty well guaranteed at this event. And this year it will not conflict with Fathers’ Day! Once again we are meeting at the campground on Oak Point, Parry Island. Oak Point offers easy access to some of the best sea kayaking on the eastern shore of Georgian Bay, which is widely considered as being among the best freshwater sea kayaking areas in the world. And all this for the same price as last year!

Our campsite is grassy and set among mature oaks on the reserve land of the Wasauksing Parry Island First Nation, next to the Wasausking Marina about 25 km west-south-west of the town of Parry Sound. On a sheltered inlet, the site offers us a huge selection of beautiful whole or half-day paddles – some challenging, others perfect for beginners or those just wanting a gentle paddle on a pretty bay edged with a sandy beach.
