Enjoy paddling Beausoleil and area islands and bays. We will launch from Honey Harbour at 10 am on Friday, June 5th, set up our tents at Honeymoon Bay and then head out for an afternoon paddle. Daily destinations will depend on wind strength & wave height. Paddlers must have the necessary skills to allow comfort in small waves, be capable of self and assisted rescues and be experienced campers. Paddlers will cross busy boat channels. Expect to encounter numerous vessels and frequent boat wake, particularly on weekends. There are a number of fine hiking trails on the Island to enjoy. Information on parking, camping fees, and driving directions will be sent to those who sign up.

Nottawasaga River June 7, 2015
Trip description: Departing from the boat launch at Klondike Park ($3 launch/boat) at 1:00 PM, we’ll paddle upstream for approximately 90 minutes and then return via the same route to our cars. The first portion of the trip will be a nice workout against the current although there are no rapids. This is a very sheltered route, but we are moving against the current. Landings are present.
Toronto Island, June 6, 2015
This will be a joint venture trip between the Halton Outdoor Club and GLSKA. The Halton Outdoor Club is very active with many activities throughout the year. These include cycling, hiking, kayaking and XC-Sking. Throughout the day we will share the camaraderie of new friends and tales of past and future adventures. Both clubs offer activities and adventures that will be of interest to all who attend. There are already a significant number of people that belong to both clubs. The launch will be from Cherry Beach in Toronto. From there we will traverse the Eastern Gap and proceed up the inside of Wards Island. Weather permitting some portions of the trip will be along the protected waterway between the islands while other parts will be along the northern coast of the islands group. Since this is an early season paddle one should be prepared for cold water and cooler weather. Bring a lunch as we will be stopping near the water stadium on Centre Island.
Rendezvous 2015 June 19-21 Oak Point, Parry Island

Of course socializing, the famous pot luck dinner and entertainment will also be highlights of the event. Renewing friendships, making new ones, and exchanging tales of favourite trips are all part of the event.
